THIS IS
COR DEKKER

Cor Dekker is a Norwegian darts player who entered the history books with a historic success: At the beginning of 2025, he became the first Norwegian ever to win a PDC Tour card. “The Sheriff” is best known to many fans for his World Cup of Darts appearance in 2016, where he reached the round of 16 with Robert Wagner.

Back then, he particularly impressed in the singles against Gary Anderson, whom he only narrowly lost 4:3. This was followed by appearances on the European Tour - in 2019 at the Austrian Darts Championship and the Gibraltar Darts Trophy - in which he was eliminated early on, although he even had match darts against Dyson Parody.

He was quiet for a while, but made a comeback in 2022 by reaching the last 16 of the WDF Europe Cup. He remained active in 2024 and again qualified for a European Tour event via the Nordic & Baltic Tour - the International Darts Open in Riesa. Despite a strong performance with a 95 average, he lost to José de Sousa in round 1.

At the 2024 World Cup, he competed alongside Håkon Bjørge Helling. The Norwegian duo lost 2:4 against Poland, but still managed to celebrate a narrow victory against Hungary. Dekker qualified for the Hungarian Darts Trophy in the same year and made it through to round 2 of a European Tour tournament for the first time. He even threw a 9-darter against Stephen Bunting - a real exclamation mark, even though the match was lost 2:6.

The big milestone finally followed in 2025: Dekker secured his tour card at Q-School - the first Norwegian ever to do so. He went straight into the top 32 at the fourth Players Championship tournament and also got his first taste of a major at his UK Open debut, albeit with an early exit against Niko Springer.

This is Cor Dekker.
A sheriff with a purpose. A pioneer for Norway. And a player who should not be written off.
