THIS IS
TYTUS KANIK

Tytus Kanik is a Polish darts player who won his first tour card in 2018 and has since made a name for himself on the PDC scene. After his first semi-final appearance on the Pro Tour and a round of 16 finish at a European Tour event, he was able to shine at the Challenge Tour Finals after losing his tour card in 2024 and secure a tour card again at the beginning of 2025.

Kanik fought his way into the top league of darts over the years. Initially overshadowed by Krzysztof Ratajski, with whom he competed for Poland in the World Cup of Darts in 2015 and 2017, he was unable to qualify for the major tournaments in the early years. In 2018, he finally made his breakthrough at the European Qualifying School, where he secured his tour card. His debut at the European Darts Open brought a win against Jan Dekker, but an exit in round two against Simon Whitlock.

Since then, Kanik has regularly appeared in major tournaments, including the UK Open in 2019 and the World Cup, where he finally celebrated his first win with Ratajski. However, the results on the tour were not consistent enough to secure his tour card in the long term. In 2020, he tried again to earn a tour card via Q-School, but was unsuccessful. Instead, Kanik focused on the Challenge Tour and showed his strength here by reaching his first final in March 2024, which he lost to Noa-Lynn van Leuven.

The real breakthrough came at the beginning of 2025, when Kanik was successful at the Q-School in Kalkar and secured a tour card for the second time. With this success behind him, he once again took part in the UK Open, but was defeated by Jurjen van der Velde in the opening round.
