Sascha Stuhlemmer is one of the most promising German darts talents. At the age of just 19, the man from Lower Saxony caused a stir at the start of 2024 when he reached the semi-finals of the Dutch Open and won the second tournament of the new PDC Europe Next Gen shortly afterwards.

His beginnings lie at regional level, where he won several state championship titles and successes in the North German Association. In 2022, he made his debut on the PDC Development Tour and showed his potential early on: an 88 average against Fabian Schmutzler and a close decider against Ole Holtkamp (Last 32) made it clear that he was a force to be reckoned with.

In 2023, Stuhlemmer continued to improve his performance. He once again advanced to the round of 16 on the Development Tour - only there was Gian van Veen one round too strong. He was also among the front runners for a long time in the qualifier for the PDC Europe Super League and even reached the quarter-finals.

His breakthrough came in February 2024: at the Dutch Open, the largest amateur tournament with around 4,000 participants, he mastered the quarter-finals on the main stage against Christian Kist and played his way through to the semi-finals. Just seven days later, he won the second PDC Europe Next Gen event in a thrilling final against Kai Gotthardt. In the summer, Stuhlemmer secured two quarter-final places on the Development Tour for the first time, even though the last 16 at the World Youth Championship in October was the end of the line.

Thanks to his two Next Gen wins, he qualified for the PDC Europe Super League for the first time. Although he was unable to get past the group stage there, he gained valuable experience at the highest junior level.
