THIS IS
PATRICK TRINGLER

Patrick Tringler is an Austrian darts player who has been active since 2022 and has come to the fore with strong performances in the PDC Europe Next Gen. Two tournament wins and qualification for the Super League are among his greatest successes to date.

The Viennese player made his first major mark in May 2022 when he qualified for the Austrian Darts Open via the Host Nation Qualifier. After defeating several national greats, Tringler met Jamie Hughes in Graz, to whom he lost 3:6. This was followed by appearances in local tournaments and a few PDC qualifiers. At the WDF Europe Cup, he lost early to Jacques Labre, and he also lost to the Frenchman in the quarter-finals of the Spanish Open.

At the beginning of 2023, Tringler took part in Q-School for the first time and later played solidly on the Challenge Tour on several occasions. A highlight of the year was winning the Austrian National Championship in June.

2024 was to be his strongest year to date. Tringler narrowly missed out on a tour card at Q-School, but that didn't slow him down: on the newly introduced PDC Europe Next Gen Tour, he won the opening event straight away - in the final against Dragutin Horvat. He also came out on top in the fourth tournament, this time after beating Niko Springer. This made Tringler the first and only Austrian to qualify for the PDC Europe Super League. However, he was eliminated in the group stage.

Ambitious. Aspiring. A beacon of hope for Austrian darts.
