THIS IS
MARTIJN DRAGT

Martijn Dragt is one of the many Dutch players who want to assert themselves on the PDC tour. He has been playing regularly on the Challenge Tour for around three years - a path that requires patience but also leaves room for development. His greatest success there: reaching the final in 2023. Dragt is not one of the loudest players on the stage, but he is making steady progress.

Dragt gained his first international darts experience at the Dutch Open, where he reached the last 128 in 2015 and 2017. He gradually ventured onto the bigger stage of the PDC. In 2021, he played his first full Challenge Tour and reached a quarter-final. A year later, he qualified for the Czech Darts Open via the Associate Member Qualifier and made his debut on the European Tour there - even though he clearly lost the match against Martin Lukeman 1:6. This was followed in the same year by a semi-final on the Challenge Tour and the last 16 of the World Masters.

In 2023, he once again failed to get a tour card, but attracted attention with a Challenge Tour final. Shortly afterwards, Dragt celebrated his first European Tour success with a 6:2 win over Ricky Evans. Even more remarkable was his 6:5 win over Rob Cross, which gave him his first PDC round of 16 appearance. Only against Ryan Searle was the end of the line. His opponent in Leeuwarden was again Martin Lukeman - this time Dragt lost 3:6. At the end of August, he was allowed to compete in two Players Championships for the first time, but remained winless.

The decisive step came at the beginning of 2024: Martijn Dragt won his tour card on the first day of the Q-School in Kalkar. He beat Chris Landman 6:5 in a tight final. On his debut at the UK Open, he narrowly lost 5-6 to amateur qualifier Jack Male in the first round.

His first victory on the Pro Tour came at the 11th Players Championship. Later in the year, Dragt reached the round of 16 for the first time before improving his personal best with a quarter-final at the beginning of October. He narrowly missed out on qualifying for the World Championship in the last match of the PDPA Qualifier. He also competed in the UK Open 2025, but did not make it past the last 96.

This is Martijn Dragt.
Underestimated. Determined. Ready.
