An Icon of Women’s Darts
Born on 30 November 1969 in Leamington Spa, England, Trina Gulliver was introduced to darts at a young age through her family and the traditional British pub environment. Her rise to international stardom began in 2001 when she made her debut at the Women’s World Championship organised by the British Darts Organisation — a tournament she won in its very first edition.
From there, Trina went on to achieve an extraordinary ten World Championship titles, along with numerous major tournament victories including the World Masters and World Darts Trophy. Her calm presence, exceptional accuracy, and mental strength established her as the dominant force in women’s darts for over a decade.
Shaping the Future of the Sport
Beyond her unmatched success on the oche, Trina has been a tireless advocate for women’s darts. At a time when opportunities and recognition were limited, she used her platform to push for greater equality, improved tournament conditions, and increased visibility for female players.
In recognition of her immense contribution to sport, she was awarded the prestigious MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) in 2013.
Mentor, Broadcaster and Role Model
Trina continues to influence the game far beyond competition. As a qualified PDPA darts coach, she is passionate about developing the next generation of players — focusing on both technical skill and mental approach.
She is also a respected commentator and pundit with the Modus Super Series, broadcast live on Pluto TV, further strengthening her role as one of the sport’s leading voices.
Her autobiography Golden Girl offers an honest and inspiring account of her life, career, and the personal challenges she has overcome — a story of resilience, discipline, and triumph.
