863 Men and 164 Women have taken part in the 24th BULL'S German Open played last weekend in Bochum which makes the tournament still the biggest in Germany.
Geert de Vos wins the mens title in tough contest against Englands Alan Norris to became the first Belgium champion since Pascal Lefevre in 1997. Best german player in the Mens single event was our BULL'S Team member Karsten Koch who reached the 9th place after loosing 0:3 against Alan Norris.
The Ladies single final was a rematch of last years event when Deta Hedman played once more against Lorraine Farlam. The WDF No. 1 Deta Hedman wins by 2:0 and her second title in a row.
At the side of Trina Gulliver Deta Hedman also wins the double tournament to make it a double delight. Irina Armstrong and Francis Hoenselaar reached the second place.
Clive Barden and Steve Douglas win the mens double tournament against Jimmy Hendriks and Scott Mitchell.
The dutch boys still dominate the youth event. After loosing the last years final Jeffrey de Zwaan was victorious this time against Mike Zuydwijk.
Ann-Kathrin Wigmann became the first German Girls champion since Yvonne Bliss in 2003. It was an all german final when "Ann-Ka" faces Anna-Maria Schulze. It was the second BULL'S German Open final for Anna-Maria who lost against Zoe Jones in 2009.
